RibbonCustomizer Professional V1.1 Beta 2
RibbonCustomizer Professional V1.1 Beta 2 is now available. Beta 2 fixes all known bugs and provides setup support for Vista. Standard users can now install the add-in under Vista. Administrators can now also use the add-in when User Account Control is off (given that UAC was off at install time).
Please let me know about any problems you are encountering right away!

Hi Patrick,
I installed your Add-In on my notebook using US-XP-Home Edition without any problems and I can see that the program is installed correctly as a COM-Add-In in Microsoft Office 2007…
Me being some sort of a “rookie” to 2007 my question is: Where can I locate your program, please?!
Thank you very much…
Best,
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,
Excel/PPT/Word: View Tab. All the way on the right is a Customize Ribbon button
Access/Outlook: Add-Ins Tab.
Hope this helps.

Hi Patrick
I installed this program on my wife’s Toshiba laptop to use with Word 2007 ultimate. But while the installation went smoothly - it shows up in the addins-there isn’t a customise ribbon button in the view tab!

Further to my earlier posting, I’ve had a closer look. Deep in the bowels of the add part of Word there is a message saying “not loaded”…runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM add in.

John,
I just followed up with you via email. These kinds of errors are the ones I really want to find and fix before declaring 1.1 stable. I asked you in the email to run the Support Tool from http://pschmid.net/office2007/ribboncustomizer/support.php (download & save it on your desktop first), and email me the resulting text file. The support page has my email address as well.
Thanks,
Patrick
